National Aquatic Centre

The National Aquatic Centre was established by the Government in Ireland and is located in Blanchardstown County Dublin. Over 823,000 people used the facilities of the Centre in 2011 and is the third most popular attraction that you have to pay for in Ireland. The National Aquatic Centre hosted the the pre-Olympic training camps in 2012 for teams from 13 different countries. The National Aquatic Centre consist of three main elements which is as follows:

  1. An international competition pool which is used to cater for diving, international standard swimming and water polo.
  2. Aqua-zone / Leisure Waters which facilities include the dark whole, wave pool, lazer river masterblaster and the Pirate ship.
  3. Timezone Gymnasium is a state of the art gymnasium and health club which incorporates cardio vascular, aerobics facilities, spinning room, steam room and a sauna as well as a jacuzzi for relaxation.
