The European Golf Club was founded in 1987 in County Wicklow. It is also ranked in the top 100 golf courses of the world. There have been a number of golfing champions that have played the course including Tiger Woods who currently holds the course record of 67. A number of great golfing championships have been held at the course including the Irish PGA Championship in 2007 and 2008 which Padraig Harrington won both. The course is a par 71.
